Classes began today. Normally I would have 2 classes on Mondays, but one does not start for a few weeks so I was only expecting one class today. I got to campus around 1:30 (sleeping in was so glorious) and waited in line for about an hour to get registered. After I picked up my ID card, I was all set to go meet Molly and sign up for a bank account with the Bank of Ireland. I realized I had forgotten my passport which was required to get an account so I spent 45 minutes walking to my apartment and back with the correct documents.
By 4:15 we had accounts at BOI and brand new laptop bags to prove it (they had giveaways for students signing up). My class was at 5:00 so I waited around the cafeteria for a while. When I got to class, the professor told us the first day was not for international students so I just left and came back to Niland House. And that was my day. It was sunny and warm earlier but now it is raining in true Irish fashion. Not too bad, though.

You know, Kristin, if you wanted to be in a climate that rained all the time, you could have stayed closer to home and just gone to Seattle!
Has there been a single day without rain? Does it usually rain all day or just as passing showers? Curious minds want to know---love, mom
