Later that same day...

Now I've seen a bit more of Galway. I went with a group down the few short blocks to the mall...it was just like malls in the states. I got a cheap international phone because mine did not work even though I was told it would. Whatever. So now I have a little pay-as-you-go Nokia from a service called Meteor. Also, Molly and I ate in a little cafe place in the mall. It was OK...we got Ploughman sandwiches which was ham and cheddar cheese with lettuce and tomato. It was pretty good except for a strange jelly they put on it. I don't know if it was onions or what but it tasted weird but it didn't ruin the whole sandwich.

I am online now via an Internet cable in my living room. It is not a very strong connection but hopefully I can post more pictures this time.

This is me in our little window nook. I have my jacket on because it is cold and rainy. It's not a bad view from that window. We can see the stairwell of Niland House so we could know everybody's comings and goings should we so choose.
This is a view of our kitchen/laundry room. We have a small washer/dryer but we're not sure how well it will dry things. Apparently you have to wring out the clothes by hand before putting them in to spin dry. Bring it on.

Hi Kristin,
I love your window nook. And the view of the stairwell should make the stalker in you very happy! I found that if I click on your photos they enlarge on my screen--nifty. I can't wait to hear how those awesome laundry facilities work out for you. I don't want to think about how many days you will consider your jeans clean now that they must be hand-wrung before drying!!! Love, Mom

Hi Kristin!
Your apartment looks pretty neat-o torpedo. I like how the washer is next to the oven. ;) Hope you're having fun so far. Talk to you later!
Love, Katie

Your pictures would upload much faster if you 'shop them down to 320x240, but then we couldn't click on them to see the larger version.

I can't see blogs from work, so I'm writing from home, but they're calling me to dinner so I gotta go. Bye.

Dad
