Although we had to pay to get in (shock!) it was definitely worth the student price. I would have even paid full price to explore this place. Everything was so picturesque, with the shade on the ruins and the sun on the water.
This part of the castle is actually in good shape. We were able to go up and explore around the outside of the walls. We watched all the tourists and took pictures of them and had our pictures taken as well.
This is me at one of the best lookout points at the castle.
The water is so blue! It seems to be the theme in Lisbon to have a lookout over a bunch of houses and blue water. Not that I'm complaining because I took about ten pictures every time I saw something like this.

This is just another view with a tree hanging down. This part was shaded so pictures we took of ourselves did not turn out as well, but that didn't stop us from taking them.
This is a view from the top of the castle, looking down on all the tourists.
This picture makes it look so warm, what with the sun streaming in and my shades on. I still had to wear my North Face everywhere, though, so it was not summer weather. Some places were warmer than others, but Lisbon's weather was pretty much like Ireland's sans the clouds and rain.
