Skype Hype

Hmmm, so I didn't think there would be any more interesting developments for a few days, but I think Skype warrants its own post and since I haven't anything better to do, I'll see what comes of this. I downloaded the Skype software onto my computer on Saturday as did my brother and my dad. Using Skype for the first few times absolutely blew my mind because I didn't think it would really work. It is amazing! It is like talking on the telephone without a telephone. I just sit on my laptop doing business as usual and speak and the person on the other end hears me. Plus, Rick's Mac has a built in camera, so he's able to do video chat which is really cool. I can't wait to get a video attachment so my family will be able to see me in Ireland and I'll be able to see them. It is seriously cool technology.

I did a tiny bit of research (like 5 minutes' worth) today to see what kinds of things I should start THINKING about for packing and one site suggested labeling every piece of luggage with a name tag. So obviously I had to look up expensive name labels with adhesive and figure out more ways to spend my money. I have luggage tags which is not the same thing as sticky name tags. But, I was able to restrain myself.
