In 46 hours (Monday at 6:30) my plane will be speeding down the runway and I will be on my way to Ireland. This is assuming everything goes smoothly, which it will. I've spent a lot of the past few days getting all of my clothes together. It's all in the same place now, but that place is not my suitcase, unfortunately. I still have a lot to do tonight. My goal is to be packed and ready to go by tonight because tomorrow will be busy moving Rick to College Park. If I was going back to SJU, I'd be moving in tomorrow too.
It's so unbelievable that I'll be in Ireland so soon. We've been talking about it forever, and I've been planning it since freshmen year and I'm so excited that it is finally happening. If only I could get all this stuff in my suitcases now...

Electricity, electricity
I got my converter and adapter set for Europe in the mail today. The converter changes the voltage of my American-made items so they are suitable for use in other countries. The adapters fit on the American-size plugs and allow them to fit into many different sockets. I'm glad I have it because it's definitely something I'll need, but I'm sorry I had to pay money for it. I've been trying to save as much money as possible because I know I will need as much as I can get in a month from now.
Yesterday was my last day of work for the summer. I am so sad to be finished and I will definitely try to go back whenever I can, even if just for a visit. I learned so much and I am so thankful for the experiences I had this summer. I miss it already.
Things are coming together slowly for this trip. I think (hope?) I have most of the essentials under control. I know I need to order Euros some time this week because I have to have at least a little local currency when I arrive in Shannon. I'm reading Ireland by Frank Delaney to learn some Irish history and get excited about spending so much time in that beautiful place. Everything is going smoothly.
Countdown update: 16 days!
